The upcoming 2022 Ford F-250 Super Duty is slated to receive significant modifications and enhancements. Blue Oval, on the other hand, would not bring major aesthetic enhancements, as several rumors have previously said. However, new exterior paint and appearance packages will be available. The cabin will be significantly updated, including a new touchscreen.
Because this is the next-generation Super Duty, all trucks in the lineup will receive identical refreshments. The goal is to provide additional standard equipment to the F-250 truck in order to make it more competitive. As a result, Ford offers more standard features, greater safety ratings, and probably better towing abilities. The sales will begin later in 2021.
2022 F-250 Super Duty Redesign
As previously stated, the 2022 Ford F-250 Super Duty will gain styling refreshments. The most recent spy photos demonstrate this. Moreover, the new Atlas Blue exterior paint is now available. New cosmetic packages are now available, which is a wonderful way to improve the looks of your truck. The Lariat Sport package, like the normal Lariat trim level, will have a few gorgeous touches.
There is also a Black appearance package, which looks fantastic in our opinion. As the name implies, it sports black 20-inch wheels, a darker grille, running boards, and much more. Both packages are offered on the XLT trim level. Still, the exterior design won’t suffer dramatic changes.
Interior Upgrades
The all-new 2022 Ford F-250 Super Duty will introduce more significant cabin upgrades. For starters, the Super Duty series will include a bigger touchscreen option. It has a horizontally positioned 12.0-inch display, which is the same size as Ram’s screen. Ford will also provide additional interior color options. The Lariat trim level now features a new interior color called Baja.
The Limited trim will be available in two new colors: Navy Pier and Light Slate. Interior features were not visible in spy photos, but the Blue Oval will surely provide new amenities. All Super Duty trucks will get more standard features, additional safety systems, and the new SYNC4 infotainment.
Towing Capacity and Transmission
The engine lineup of the next-generation 2022 Ford F-250 Super won’t change. A 7.3-liter V8 gasoline engine is standard once again. This unit develops 430 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque. According to Blue Oval manufacturer, the V8 is the most powerful gasoline engine in the heavy-duty truck segment. The optional turbodiesel motor is still a better option if you want a more competent F-250 with enhanced towing capability.
A 6.7-liter PowerStroke diesel engine can generate up to 1050 lb-ft of torque, which is remarkable. Ram and Chevrolet are increasing torque levels year after year, so Ford may follow the same strategy and give even greater torque. The current F-250 can tow up to 33,000 pounds, which is incredible. As before, Blue Oval delivers 10-speed automatic transmission.
2022 Ford F-250 Super Duty Price, Release Date
The upcoming 2022 Ford F-250 Super is expected to start at $35,000. According to reports, Ford will launch the next-gen F-Series Super Duty this fall.
