The next 2022 Ford F-250 is expected to come with major updates and improvements. However, as some sources have already indicated, Blue Oval would not provide significant visual improvements. New exterior paint and appearance packages, on the other hand, will be available. The interior will be drastically upgraded, and that includes a new touchscreen.
Since it is the next-generation Super Duty lineup, all trucks in the lineup will get the same upgrades. The aim is to deliver more standard equipment to make the F-250 truck more competitive. As a result, Ford has more modern features, higher safety ratings, and potentially improved towing capability. The F-250 truck will be available in markets by the end of 2021.
2022 F-250 Facelift
As previously said, the design of the 2022 Ford F-250 will slightly improve. The most recent spy photographs are showing exactly that. The new Atlas Blue exterior paint, on the other hand, is available. New appearance packages are also on offer, and it is a nice way to upgrade your truck’s appearance. Lariat Sport package will deliver a couple of nice touches like on the regular Lariat trim level. There is also a Black appearance package and it looks amazing in our honest opinion.
It has black 20-inch wheels, a darkened grille, running boards, and much more, as the name indicates. Both packages are available on the XLT trim level. According to the most recent news, the majority of the exterior design is still intact. Hopefully, Blue Oval will deliver more cosmetic upgrades and we’ll know about it in the coming weeks.
Interior Changes
The interior of the all-new 2022 Ford F-250 has been significantly updated. To begin, the Super Duty lineup will have a larger touchscreen option. It is a 12.0-inch horizontally-placed display, which is the same size as Ram’s screen. Ford will also introduce new interior colors. The Lariat trim level now has a new Baja interior color scheme.
Light Slate and Navy Pier will be new colors for the Limited trim. Interior details were not seen in spy images, but the Blue Oval is expected to reveal further updates. All Super Duty trucks will have a longer list of standard amenities, new safety systems, and new SYNC4 infotainment.
Ford Likely to Improve Truck’s Performance
The engine lineup will remain the same in the next-gen 2022 Ford F-250. As before, a 7.3-liter V8 gasoline engine is available, producing 430 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque. According to Ford, the powerful V8 is the strongest gasoline engine in the heavy-duty segment. If you want a more capable F-250 for increased towing capability, the optional turbodiesel powertrain is the real deal.
A 6.7-liter PowerStroke engine can produce approximately 1050 lb-ft of torque, which is incredible. Ram and Chevrolet are rising torque levels year after year, so Ford could deploy the same strategy and deliver even more torque as well. The F-250 truck comes with a 10-speed automatic transmission and it can tow around 33,000 pounds when properly equipped.
2022 Ford F-250 Release Date, Price
New generations mean higher prices and the forthcoming 2022 Ford F-250 is no different. Whatsoever, all of the Super Duty trucks will cost more than the current models. We predict the F-250 model will start at about $35,000. The sales will reportedly begin this fall.
