Because of that, Nissan is set to deliver major improvements to Titan and to give it new hope. Interestingly, some sources indicated the end of this famous model’s development. This will not happen though, because today nobody gives up on their full-size truck. A redesign is taking place and Titan will take a lot of stuff from the new Frontier model.
New Titan will gain a more rugged and aggressive appearance. Also, the interior is updated to make the cabin more modern. A new powertrain option is also on the cards, so the Titan truck will be better than ever before. The price won’t change drastically and this model will hit the markets in the first quarter of 2022.
2022 Nissan Titan Facelift
New 2022 Nissan Titan will wear a familiar design language called the “Powerful Warrior.” A ton of cosmetics refreshments will be included for the new edition. The exterior redesign includes a more pronounced appearance and nearly all trim levels will be upgraded. The base SL trim will look more premium, especially on and around the grille with more chrome trims. The 20-inch wheels are looking very stylish, but this variant is optional on the entry-level trims.
Platinum Reserve, for example, is the best possible variant available. This trim comes with a gorgeous satin chrome grille as well as power-operated features. The Titan Pro-4X trim level is an off-road version with blacked-out exterior features, red tow hooks, and increased ground clearance. Finally, Titan will be available in well-known exterior colors including Cardinal Red, Red Alert, Super Black, and Deep Blue Pearl metallic paints.
Stunning and Spacious Cabin
The cabin of the 2022 Nissan Titan will also receive several updates. The biggest upgrade is a new touchscreen option. It is a larger 9-inch infotainment display with quicker response and improved graphics. Aside from that, the Titan model delivers additional high-quality materials for an improved level of comfort.
As previously said, this pickup truck would also have more standard features. New driver-assistance aids will be available as an option. On top of that, Nissan improved its Safety Shield 360 suite on all trim levels. The safety will be improved as well, but the interior layout and its design will remain intact.
2022 Nissan Titan Engine and Transmission Specs
The upcoming 2022 Nissan Titan will also introduce important changes under the hood. This famous pickup truck currently offers a 5.6-liter V6 engine with 400 hp and 415 lb-ft of torque. According to the latest reports, this engine will be on offer once again. On the other hand, reliable reports are also suggesting a new turbocharged engine. This is not confirmed yet, but Nissan will reveal more details in the coming months.
The manufacturer will surely ditch its current 7-speed automatic transmission. This means the Titan truck will from now on offer a smooth 9-speed automatic gearbox. If you want a diesel powertrain, Titan XD a variant has one. It is a well-known 5.0-liter turbodiesel that comes with higher torque ratings and it provides better towing capacity.
Price, Release Date
Exterior redesign, interior updates, and new transmission won’t increase the price that much. The 2022 Nissan Titan will cost between $35,000 and $40,000, but the exact price is not available at the moment. The sales will begin in the first quarter of 2022.
