The upcoming 2022 Ram 2500 Power Wagon Diesel was spotted recently. According to the latest spy shots, the base model will look like this unique 75th Anniversary Edition prototype. But the new Power Wagon will look better. This is an off-road version with additional features and a better cabin.
The Ram Power Wagon is offered in crew cab version with the same 6.7-liter Cummins diesel engine. Moreover, the Ram 2500 Power Wagon is one of the greatest heavy-duty off-road trucks available. However, the only official upgrade on this truck is the new Level 3 Package. This is all we know about the new Power Wagon thus far.
2022 Power Wagon Diesel Spy Photos
The 2022 Ram 2500 Power Wagon Diesel was photographed in full camouflage. The prototype has been spied in the 75th Anniversary Edition. As we said, the base model will get the same improvements. From what we saw, Ram will modify the front fascia. On top of that, the LED headlights won’t alter, but the grille is broader and more appealing.
The front grille with the blacked-out RAM branding is easily identified. You can also spot beautiful designs with strong lines on the side profile. Power Wagon comes equipped with 17-inch black wheels. Off-road features include rock rails, skid plates, and side steps.
Cabin Upgrades
The 2022 Ram 2500 Power Wagon Diesel will also gain a couple of interior updates. Ram reacted similarly to Ford’s recent Super Duty improvements. Power Wagon will get a new infotainment system and Ram claims it will be the finest infotainment system in the heavy-duty segment.
The company also aims to provide additional safety features. The off-road truck’s cabin will be based on the Ram 2500HD model. As before, Powe Wagon offers a crew cab, which is fantastic. The Power Wagon can accommodate five people and the comfort is great. Leather seats and a 12-inch touchscreen will be available as standard, according to the latest reports.
Level 3 Package
The forthcoming 2022 Ram 2500 Power Wagon Diesel is also getting a new Level 3 Package. Like the 75th Anniversary Edition, the Level 3 Package also makes the truck more upright. This optional package comes with standard power-adjustable features, automatic high beams, and body-colored features.
On the inside, you will get a heated steering wheel, additional aluminum trims, and an impressive 17-speaker Harman Kardon sound system. And while the 75th Anniversary Edition offers rock rails and LED headlights, the Level 3 Package comes without those features.
Engine Specs
The 2022 Ram 2500 Power Wagon Diesel is simply an amazing and powerful truck. The base Power Wagon will retain its 6.4-liter Hemi V8 gasoline engine. This unit provides 410 hp and 430 lb-ft of torque. Moreover, it comes with an eight-speed automatic transmission. However, Power Wagon Diesel is the real deal. This variant comes with the 6.7-liter Cummins diesel powertrain option. It generates 400 horsepower and over 900 lb-ft of torque, which is astonishing. On top of that, the 2022MY could gain an even higher level of torque.
2022 Ram 2500 Power Wagon Release Date
The new 2022 Ram 2500 Power Wagon Diesel will start at about $60,000. As you know, a diesel powertrain is optional so the gasoline variant is slightly cheaper. The company plans to introduce its new off-road heavy-duty truck in late 2022.
