The prototype of the all-new 2023 Chevy Colorado ZR2 has been spotted testing, revealing numerous improvements. According to reports, the new off-road truck will hit the market in 2022 as a 2023 model. The very first spy images are showing an off-road-oriented model that features a higher ground clearance and Goodyear Wrangler MT tires.
The ZR2 variant rides on new 33-inch tires, as opposed to the 31-inch tires on the existing Colorado ZR2 model. On top of that, the manufacturer will include Multimatic’s DSSV shocks designed specifically for this truck, as well as sporty-tuned DSSV shocks. As a result, the Colorado ZR2 will offer a more comfortable ride and handling.
2023 Colorado ZR2 Powertrain Options
Things will almost certainly remain the same under the hood. This truck will almost certainly be offered with two dependable powerplant options. As a base model, we anticipate the 2023 Colorado ZR2 to be powered by a 3.6-liter V6 engine capable of producing approximately 308 horsepower. Compared to the standard model, the ZR2 features a custom suspension setup, off-road dumpers, and a 2.5-inch higher ground clearance.
The Colorado ZR2 has a fresh front fascia that differentiates it from the other variants. The black plastic is visible on the grille and front bumper, lending the vehicle its deserved off-road image. Additionally, there are noticeable unique features such as red tow hooks and stylish 17-inch rims.
2023 Chevy Colorado ZR2 Release Date, Price
The forthcoming 2023 Chevy Colorado ZR2 will debut in early 2022. Moreover, the sales will begin later in the year, most likely next fall. The price will start at $42,000, which is a slight increase. Of course, you can add more options, so the ZR2 variant could cost you above $50,000. As before, Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro is the biggest rival.
