Come this year, the Colorado-based pickup truck, the 2023 Chevy S10, will be on the market. Unfortunately, the manufacturer says that the new truck will only be sold in South America. In general, Chevrolet wants to be the best in this part of the world. Chevrolet recently released a new set of photos of the new Chevrolet S10, and we have to say that we think it looks better than the new Chevrolet Colorado.
The front of the truck looks a little different than the one in the US, but it still has the same grille and LED headlights. According to Chevy, the most noticeable changes are taking place inside the cabin. If that’s the case, you can expect better materials and a lot of new technology. Interestingly, the S10 model is coming to Mexico as well, although the two models won’t have so many things in common.
Chevy S10 Exterior Design
The new 2023 Chevy S10 is the new mid-size pickup truck. It looks better than the US version of Colorado. However, when compared to its predecessor, the changes aren’t that big. This time, there are only a few mild changes. Like before, GM will have three body types: single cab, double cab, and chassis cab configurations. The front fascia is a little different. The S10 now has an almost identical black grille as the Colorado pickup in the United States.
Furthermore, the front section has big CHEVROLET letters, as well as more modern headlights. Chevrolet will deliver more black accents, mostly around the fog lights. On top of that, wheels and the roof rack will also host black accents. 16-inch aluminum wheels and side steps will be offered as standard. The upper trim levels will feature body-colored parts.
Interior Details
There will be more high-tech features in the new 2023 Chevy S10 when it comes out later this year. If you choose a single cab, double cab, or chassis cab, the size of the cabin will change. Overall, this mid-size pickup should be able to fit three to five people comfortably. Besides, the cabin will also have some new things.
The manufacturer includes an 8-inch touchscreen, updated MyLink system, wireless phone integrations, and wireless phone charging. There is, however, a lot more standard equipment on the High Country trim level. This version has navigation, more high-quality materials, and Bluetooth audio streaming for up to two phones or other devices. Reportedly, Chevrolet will also include an optional 10-inch display, leather upholstery, keyless access, and ignition.
Engine Options
You won’t see any changes to the powertrain lineup of the new 2023 Chevy S10 at all. This pickup truck will still have two different engine options. For the base model, there will still be a 2.8-liter diesel engine with 200 horsepower.
According to a lot of reports, the company might for the first time make a 3.6-liter V6. This engine is one of the most powerful in the Chevy line of cars, and it makes 310 horsepower. On the other hand, GM might also come out with a new 10-speed automatic transmission, which is also possible. On the other hand, a 2.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine is a more likely option. Furthermore, manual transmission should be on offer, along with the four-wheel-drive setup.
2023 Chevy S10 Release Date, Price
The upcoming 2023 Chevy S10 is coming to the markets later this year. Reportedly, S10 will be sold in South America. Moreover, the Chevy S10 is also already available in Mexico. The price is not available yet, but the S10 model will be a low-budget mid-size pickup truck for sure.
