Once again, the coming 2023 Ford Ranger Raptor has been spotted. This strong and sporty pickup truck will be available in the United States later next year. This mid-size truck will debut in Europe by the end of this November. Following years of sales outside the United States, a vintage Ranger will make a reappearance. A prototype was recently photographed on the streets of Detroit. The 2023 Raptor looks a lot like the F-150 Raptor variant.
The off-road Ranger, like its bigger brother, comes with a variety of off-road equipment as well as a unique suspension. The Ranger Raptor will use the same ladder frame as the original Ranger but will have a longer travel suspension for leaping and a stronger engine for faster desert runs. On the other hand, the F-150 model will also introduce a brand-new Raptor R version. Unfortunately, Ranger will not provide this option just yet.
Powertrain Specs
One of the most serious worries about the 2023 Ford Ranger Raptor in the United States is the powertrain. We anticipate a 2.7-liter twin-turbo V6 gasoline engine. The same engine will power the Ford Bronco SUV, which is set to debut later this year. In this arrangement, it generates 310 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque. This power should be sent to all four axles via a ten-speed automatic transmission.
The Raptor’s off-road suspension will be firmer and more robust than that of a standard Ranger. It should have all-terrain tires up to 33 inches wide, bigger front and rear tracks, a higher riding height, and increased ground clearance. The new 2023 Ford Ranger Raptor has been spotted in prototype form, with BFGoodrich All-Terrain pneumatics and a riding height that appears to be higher than the Ranger lineup’s current offerings. Six-lug wheels are also provided as standard equipment. In addition, spy photos show mismatched twin exhaust pipes.
While the taillights are fresh new, the majority of the exterior components have been completely concealed. In addition, the back door now has third brake light.
