The new 2023 GMC Sierra HD will hit the markets in the coming months. This well-known heavy-duty truck will undergo significant upgrades. As evidenced by the latest spy photographs, this includes a completely new appearance. There should be some adjustments under the bonnet as well.
There will also be a lot of focus on how the Sierra HD looks on the inside, and hopefully, it will get even more luxury. Sierra is a cool option in a group that is largely made up of Ford Super Duty and Ram HD trucks. We believe the Sierra will be competitive with the other models in the segment.
GMC Sierra HD Exterior Redesign
For the first time, the impending 2023 GMC Sierra HD has been spotted. The styling appears to be aggressive, more than before. When the camouflage is removed, we believe the GMC will provide a better look than before, and certainly more premium. There were a lot of curves in the original model. There are a lot of straight lines in the new one. However, depending on the trim level, the new Sierra HD may have a significantly distinct appearance.
The Denali trim level, for example, features more chrome details and larger wheels. The AT4 version, on the other hand, has crimson tow hooks that give it a more wild appearance. The most visible difference is the use of LED headlights.
Interior Improvements
The next 2023 GMC Sierra HD is a high-end model with a spacious cabin. It also provides good comfort, which is a plus. Furthermore, this model contains a lot of new features and does not fall short of the standards established by the other models in the market. The base model includes a 7-inch touchscreen with Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, updated navigation, and a new rearview camera.
It also comes with a standard trailering kit as well as a tow hitch with a guidance system and a rearview camera to make towing a trailer easier. Denali is the most expensive model, featuring a larger screen, Bose sound system, and wireless charging. Unfortunately, spy shots failed to provide interior details.
Engine Specs
The new 2023 GMC Sierra HD, according to reports, will be more potent than the outgoing model. As previously stated, the new truck will have the same engine as the Silverado HD, producing approximately 505 horsepower and up to 1,085 lb-ft of torque.
If you currently own a 6.6-liter V8 turbodiesel Duramax, it produces 445 horsepower and lb-ft of torque. This is a significant departure from that. In this example, the upgraded model will have 60 more horsepower and additional torque of around 175 lb-ft. As a result, the Sierra HD will be significantly more capable of towing.
2023 GMC Sierra HD Price and Release Date
In terms of price, the new 2023 GMC Sierra HD will start at $40,000. The lineup includes Sierra 2500 and Sierra 3500 models. The off-road AT4 trim level will cost around $60k and the Denali version around $80k. The sales should begin later this year, most likely in the fall of 2022.
