The next 2023 Jeep Gladiator undergoes improvements, and a new model will be introduced later next year. Diesel engines, as previously noted, become available in 2021, and the 2022 Gladiator will also introduce a hybrid powertrain option. The 4xe version will certainly be included in the 2023MY. It is too soon to talk about upgrades, especially those inside the cabin.
We do not foresee a redesign because Gladiator is still a new model. However, we would like to see fewer technological advances and an increase in safety ratings. While sales will continue, the new Gladiator 4xe has piqued our interest. It is the most versatile variant, possibly in the whole segment. While we are waiting for more info, here is everything we know so far.
Conventional Engines
The upcoming 2023 Jeep Gladiator will arrive with both a gasoline and diesel engine. The majority of Jeep vehicles are powered by a sturdy 3.6-liter V6 gasoline engine. This engine produces 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. A 3.0-liter V6 diesel engine is available as an option. The diesel engine generates 260 horsepower and 445 pound-feet of torque.
Surprisingly, the gasoline engine is available with either a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic transmission. A diesel engine drives an eight-speed automatic transmission, which is available in Sport, Overland, and Rubicon trim levels. In terms of fuel efficiency, diesel provides 25 mpg, while gasoline engine delivers 19 mpg combined.
What About Jeep Gladiator 4xe?
The 2023 Jeep Gladiator 4xe is the most significant upgrade next year. It is a hybrid model using a combination of a turbocharged 2.0-liter engine and a pair of electric motors. The first engine acts as a propeller and the second as a generator. According to Jeep, the Gladiator 4xe will comply with all emission regulations, and an all-electric version could be ready within the next two or three years.
This hybrid pickup truck should develop around 375 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. It is the most powerful Gladiator version currently available. A 17-kilowatt-hour battery will also provide around 25 miles of all-electric power.
2023 Jeep Gladiator Release Date, Price
The next 2023 Jeep Gladiator will start at around $33,500, or even above that. We are now awaiting additional information from Jeep, which will become available over the next several months. Trim levels such as Rubicon, on the other hand, start at roughly $45,000. This mid-size truck will hit the market next year, most likely in the summer. While the most notable change is a hybrid powertrain, we still hope for one or two surprises.
Jeep will reveal more details by the end of the current year. However, exterior and interior upgrades will be minor. Gladiator pickup is a relatively new model, so there’s no need for significant changes at the moment. Of course, the 4xe version with hybrid power is a serious upgrade.
