The upcoming 2024 Ram 1500 is getting additional changes, in almost every category. Still, redesign is not happening yet. Instead, Ram will provide a mild facelift. That includes various exterior and interior upgrades. On the other hand, one significant upgrade will be the arrival of the all-electric Ram 1500 EV. This model will rival the brand-new Ford F-150 Lightning and some other models in the electric pickup truck segment.
We don’t know if Ram plans to pull a surprise or two, with a new trim level or something similar. In any case, this famous pickup truck will continue to dominate the full-size truck segment. Performance could be improved, by providing more torque to one of the engines. The sales will begin at some point in the second half of 2023, so here’s everything you need to know.
Ram 1500 Exterior Facelift
The design of the new 2024 Ram 1500 won’t appear much that different from the outgoing model, at least not in the entry-level trims. However, thanks to its unique design language, you won’t ever mistake this pickup for any other. Some variants will provide sportiness, while some others are focused on luxury.
There will be different enhancements for each trim level. Some models are offering larger wheels, while other models could have body-colored embellishments. This isn’t really a makeover because Ram intends to provide a mid-cycle facelift. Along with several trim levels, the Ram 1500 truck also has a wide range of extra packages.
Interior Improvements
In terms of interior upgrades, the new 2024 Ram 1500 will receive a couple of high-tech features. The cabin is spacious, providing a high level of comfort and a room for five. No matter which cab setup you choose, the Ram 1500 provides lots of passenger room. Still, the crew cab configuration seems to be the most popular choice.
The Ram 1500 generally offers a wide range of modification options. The standard work version, sporty variations, and deluxe versions are all options. There should be a few interior improvements with the 2024MY. This will include new optional packages, the most recent driver-assistance features, and an infotainment system upgrade.
Engine Options
Under the hood, the forthcoming 2024 Ram 1500 will keep its current engine options. The base 3.6-liter V6 is a familiar and reliable unit, providing solid performances. You can also pair this engine with a hybrid system and get slightly above 300 horsepower. Moreover, fuel efficiency will drastically increase. A larger 5.7-liter V8 gasoline is also on offer, along with the 3.0-liter V6 diesel engine. This turbodiesel powertrain is capable of developing a torque of 480 lb-ft and around 260 horsepower.
The most potent variant is the Ram 1500 TRX with a supercharged V8 engine. It is a large 6.2-liter unit with over 700 horses and 650 lb-ft of torque. With this engine, Ram 1500 TRX provides astonishing acceleration. However, one significant upgrade will happen, and it is an all-electric powertrain. It will become the most powerful model with an astonishing driving range and much more.
2024 Ram 1500 Will Cost $36k
The price will remain, so the 2024 Ram 1500 will cost $36,000. Of course, upper trim levels will cost over $50,000. We don’t know, however, how much Ram 1500 EV is going to cost. The sales will begin in the second half of 2023, most likely next fall.
