The popular carmaker believes that the mid-size pickup truck segment represents the brand’s “greatest opportunity.” The Dakota model has already sparked a slew of rumors. This vehicle, it appears, will not be built this year. Surprisingly, this model is projected to arrive as a 2024MY.
Dakota was on the market in the late 2000s, and its reappearance is now more plausible than ever. It will face direct competition from established Ford Ranger and Toyota Tacoma. Some speculations even suggest that a high-performance Dakota SRT variant will be released, which would be wonderful to behold. Furthermore, Dakota should arrive with an optional hybrid powertrain, like the Ram 1500 model.
RAM Dakota Engine Specs
The 2024 RAM Dakota will arrive as a mid-size body-on-frame pickup truck. It might be built on the chassis of a scaled-down Ram 1500, allowing for the class-exclusive installation of a gasoline V8 engine. It may also share an architecture with the Jeep Gladiator.
