The forthcoming 2023 Ford F-150 Rattler, the budget-friendly off-road model, will be available this year, probably around October. As a result, the new kit is now available even on the base XL trim level. According to official information, the Rattler will include some of the off-road equipment included in the FX4 package.
This includes hill descent control and an electric locking rear differential. At this moment, the Blue Oval manufacturer didn’t provide price details. Unlike the basic F-150, the Rattler model makes this truck more visually appealing and off-road capable. The upcoming 2023 Ford F-150 Rattler is visually appealing, with a dual exhaust tip and sportier 18-inch aluminum wheels.
This new model comes with two exhaust tips and it will reportedly provide more noise. The Rattler badge is visible on the fenders, which is one of the easiest ways to recognize this model. Interior Features
The interior of the 2023 Ford F-150 Rattler features distinct accents that distinguish it from other trim levels. This off-roader has gorgeous onyx seats with bronze highlights and stitching that are highly supportive.
Ford hasn’t revealed any details about the cabin features, but we can anticipate it to go above and beyond the ordinary F-150. The Rattler, like the FX4 package, will come with an electronic locking rear differential and hill descent control system. Powertrain Options
In terms of performance, the 2023 Ford F-150 Rattler will provide a couple of engines. You can choose a standard 2.7-liter twin-turbo that provides 325 hp. Moreover, an optional 5.0-liter V8 is available, producing 400 horsepower and a torque of 410 lb-ft. A 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 engine develops 400 hp and up to 500 lb-ft of twisting power.
From what we know, the RWD system will be standard, while the four-wheel-drive will remain optional. As you can see, a diesel powertrain is not available. Of course, there is always a possibility, but first reports are saying the Rattler variant will be exclusively a gasoline-powered pickup truck.
2023 Ford F-150 Rattler Release Date, Price
The brand-new 2023 Ford F-150 Rattler will be more affordable than the FX4 package. However, the exact price is not available at the moment. The base F-150 pickup starts at around $28,000. Moreover, loading an optional cab option or optional powertrain will additionally increase the price. The sales will begin this fall, most likely in October 2022.
