The next-gen 2023 GMC Canyon is expected to debut at some point next year. This popular pickup truck will be restored next year. The next model will mark the beginning of the third-gen Canyon. The new model will be more attractive than ever before. It will also use an upgraded GMT 31XX architecture from the second-generation model.
The new chassis will also be used in the new Colorado truck. We expect the 2023 Canyon to have the same powertrains as the present model. GM will provide three engine options and additional standard features. Sales will most likely begin next fall.
2023 Canyon Exterior Redesign Spied
The 2023 GMC Canyon will be fully overhauled. The new front fascia should make this truck look more modern and appealing. The next pickup will reportedly be based on an upgraded GMT 31XX platform. It has a massive grille, projector-beam headlights, and dazzling LED running lights.
If you want something genuinely special and luxurious, the Denali trim level is the finest choice. There are new wheels, a polished exhaust tip, and a larger grille. You can even get an AT4 off-road variant. Also, some sources mention the new AT4X version will arrive as well.
Interior Design
The latest GMT 31XX architecture improvements provide the 2023 GMC Canyon a roomier interior. The Canyon Extended Cab and Crew Cab may comfortably accommodate five persons. GMC also provides supportive chairs for taller persons. Vinyl, fabric and leather interiors are available as well as upgraded infotainment.
Onboard Wi-Fi, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto are standard once again. The base trim features two USB ports and a power-adjustable driver’s seat. Modern safety aids are also available. Again, the Canyon Denali is the top-of-the-line trim level. Generally, Canyon will introduce more upright materials and more modern technologies.
Engine Options
The 2023 GMC Canyon will have three engine options. One of the most important aspects of every pickup truck is the engine. This one comes with a standard 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, producing 200 horses and 190 lb-ft of torque. Moreover, GMC offers either two- or four-wheel drive and a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
An optional 3.6-liter V6 gasoline engine has 308 hp and 275 lb-ft of twists. The manufacture will provide eight gears if you opt for a V6 engine. Lastly, there is a diesel engine that produces 181 horsepower and 371 lb-ft of torque. Like the basic model, it comes with a 6-speed automatic transmission. The GMC Canyon can tow 7,700 pounds, which is more than enough.
Release Date, Price
The new 2023 GMC Canyon will start at about $27,000. The Denali model, on the other hand, will cost approximately $45,000. Sales will start later in 2022, and we’ll know more about next-gen Canyon in the coming months.
