The next 2023 Ram 2500 heavy-duty truck should include a slew of new features and visual updates. Numerous reports indicate that the next-gen model will be completely new, including exterior and interior. This implies a more appealing outside, followed by a highly pleasant and technologically advanced inside.
This model, along with its biggest competitors, has dominated the heavy-duty sector in the United States since its introduction. This truck will be available with two different powertrains, and a hybrid option will not be available until the 2023 model year. As previously stated, the Ram 2500 will fight against the Ford F-250, the GMC Sierra 2500, and the Chevrolet Silverado 2500. The sales will commence later in the summer of next year.
Redesign of the new Ram 2500
We predict that the new 2023 Ram 2500 will be completely redesigned from the ground up. This proposes more angular, current forms, which will provide this pickup with a sense of aggression. The latest model features a bigger front grille combined with LED headlights.
However, the new version will almost certainly include more chrome and substantially smaller headlights, similar to those found on the current Ram 1500. The Power Wagon edition will also see a few fascinating tweaks. This is the most common form and differentiates itself visually by a range of distinct visual characteristics. This includes increased ground clearance, aggressive bodywork, and a variety of off-road accessories.
Interior Gains Important Upgrades
As with the Ram 1500, the interior of the approaching 2023 Ram 2500 should receive a similar makeover. Essentially, the maker will utilize higher-quality materials and integrate additional technologies into the inside. The enormous center console now features a new 12-inch touchscreen that looks spectacular but is less user-friendly than the previous 8.4-inch touchscreen with physical buttons.
Additionally, wireless charging and additional USB connections, including type-c ports, are available. And, while the entry-level model is pretty well equipped, the higher trim levels add a touch of luxury. This boasts a larger display and leather upholstery, among other enhancements.
Engine Lineup Remains Intact
The upcoming 2023 Ram 2500 will use the same engine lineup. All of this begins with a potent 6.4-liter V8 gasoline engine. With cylinder deactivation technology, this engine delivers up to 410 horsepower. This setup is meant to conserve fuel when performing heavy-duty tasks or making ordinary city trips. Additionally, the standard configuration has an eight-speed automatic gearbox and rear-wheel drive system.
All-wheel drive is available as an option on the Power Wagon. Along with this engine, Ram provides an optional 6.7-liter turbodiesel Cummins with 850 lb-ft of torque. Almost certainly, the diesel engine will provide significantly more torque. As a result, we anticipate even greater towing capacity. Ram has not, however, released official engine specifications. As previously stated, a hybrid powertrain will not be available.
Price and Release Date of the 2023 Ram 2500
The all-new 2023 Ram 2500 will most likely arrive in showrooms next summer. The entry-level model is now $34,000. A new one will almost certainly start at $35,000, a modest increase given the extent of the changes.
