If you want to buy a new 2023 Jeep Gladiator Mojave, it will be one of the craziest trucks on the market this year. Gladiator is a relatively new model, so there will be no significant change. This means the next model won’t deliver any surprises at all. Whatsoever, only the hybrid version is said to be new. Because of that, we’re more interested in the Mojave version.
It’s a desert-rated pickup truck, which means it’s a unique model right off the bat. With a unique chassis, the Gladiator Mojave can go at very high speeds on off-road trips. People will be able to buy the new Gladiator later this year.
Jeep Gladiator Mojave Exterior
The upcoming 2023 Jeep Gladiator Mojave will be different from the standard Gladiator in many ways. Yes, this version looks more aggressive, but it’s not as wild and aggressive as the Ram Rebel TRX. This model has a wild personality and is a little angrier than the base Gladiator. On top of that, it has a lot of unique features, like off-road gear, a unique chassis, and even different exterior paints.
With 17-inch wheels and 33-inch all-terrain tires, the Mojave variant comes with everything you need for serious off-roading. Furthermore, the lifted suspension is another important upgrade, as well as the stronger axles that come with it. The goal is to make a great off-road truck, and Jeep did a great job. Mojave has 11.6 inches of ground clearance and a lot of new exterior features. Besides additional ground clearance, Mojave wears recognizable orange accents and orange tow hooks.
Under the Skin
There are a lot of different Gladiators, but the Mojave is the only one that’s completely different from the rest. People who want to go fast off-roading in the 2022 Jeep Gladiator Mojave have to make some changes to the way the pickup truck works. First, there is a 4×4 driving system that comes with the model.
Besides that, Mojave has an amazing crawl ratio, better departure angles, and a two-speed transfer case on top of all of that. A rear locking differential can also be bought. The ride will be more fun, and the seats will get a little more slippery. This is a good thing to do, and the comfort will be a little better as well.
Engine Specs
A hybrid powertrain is a novelty, but the new 2023 Jeep Gladiator Mojave won’t offer any sort of electrification, yet. Rather, this version will come with a standard engine of a 3.6-liter V6. This gas engine is used in almost every Jeep car, from crossovers and SUVs to Jeep Wranglers. It develops 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque.
On the other hand, there is also a 3.0-liter EcoDiesel engine. This V6 diesel powertrain is optional and it makes 260 horsepower and a torque of 442 lb-ft. With more torque, Mojave will be even better at going off-road. Finally, this model has both an eight-speed automatic transmission and a six-speed manual transmission.
2023 Jeep Gladiator Mojave Release Date, Price
Jeep’s first-ever desert-rated pickup truck will go on sale later this year. The price starts somewhere between $45,000 and $50,000. To compare, the base Gladiator trim level is available for $33,000. We are waiting to hear more details, but overall, don’t expect major upgrades yet.
As best as I can tell, the 2023 Mojave will not have the diesel engine option which is at odds with what this article says. The 2022 Mojave doesn’t off the diesel option and a salesman at my local dealership says that the 2023 will be no different. I wonder if the author of this article is correct about the 2023 having a diesel option?
I currently have a Tacoma TRD PRO and I’m switching to the Jeep Gladiator because some models have a diesel option. It seems like the Mojave will suit my use cases a lot better and I wish it had the diesel option. I’ll most likely have to settle for a Rubicon to get the diesel engine. Hopefully the author will chime in here as to whether this article is correct about the 2023 Mojave having the option to get the diesel engine.
Nothing official yet, but it is a perfect fit for Mojave. I definitely agree with switching to the Rubicon, if Mojave arrives without a diesel.
